Okay so this is the "frightful" part of the snow. This is what our day looked like on Christmas Eve. It snowed hard for most of the day and the wind was strong. Jake and I took spiderman and batman out to play. Hehe, those super hero character masks Jay got for Christmas really came in handy and made watching those two boys play really quite funny.
Christmas Day the weather wasn't "frightful" anymore, but rather a picture perfect white Christmas. I remember when I was talking to mom about spending Christmas in the new house and she said maybe we'll get some snow and be able to look out the big kitchen window (which would not have shutters yet) and watch it fall. Boy was she right. Despite all the problems it caused it sure was beautiful.
Brendan was trying to make a snow angel. I don't think he's got it just yet.
Jay made some really great snow angels. We didn't make any snowmen because the snow was just too powdery. I think the next day was perfect snowman snow (you know the packing kind), but I had my fill of bundling up to play in that stuff. So no snowman for us. Mom and I picked up a snowman kit complete with hat, nose, scarf, eyes, and mouth from Target for half off. I joked with her that now that she has that kit it won't ever snow like that again so the poor kit won't be used. We shall see!
Two boys having fun in the snow.
I think they had fun, don't you?
So this is the picture that should be first, but I'm still trying to figure out this blog thing. Doesn't this look beautiful?
